# Refund & Return Policy
We want you to actually use your Soothe Belt — and to feel like it earned its place in your bag. If it doesn't, you can send it back.
## The 30-day promise
You have **30 days from delivery** to request a refund. No phone calls, no interrogation, no "what went wrong" form — just email us at **hello@soothe.shop** with your order number and we'll start the return.
## How it works
1. Email **hello@soothe.shop** with subject "Refund — [your order number]"
2. We'll reply within 24 hours with a return address
3. Ship the belt back (you cover return postage — usually €5–8 within EU)
4. We refund the full purchase price to your original payment method within **3–5 business days** of receiving the belt
## Condition of returned items
The belt should be in resalable condition — clean, with all parts (belt, USB-C cable, instructions). A bit of normal use is fine; we know you have to actually try it to know whether it works for you. We're not the kind of company that voids a return because a sticker was peeled off.
## Damaged on arrival or faulty
If your belt arrives damaged or stops working within the 30-day window, you don't pay return shipping. Email us a photo of the issue and we'll either:
- Send a replacement (free), or
- Refund you in full
Whichever you prefer.
## What we can't refund
- **Shipping costs** on the original order (if you paid them)
- **Orders past 30 days** from delivery
- Items that come back visibly damaged from misuse (dropped in water beyond the rated IPX5, opened housing, etc.)
## Exchanges
We only sell one product, so there's nothing to exchange it for. If you got a defective unit, we'll replace it — see "Damaged or faulty" above.
## EU consumer rights
If you're shopping from the EU, you also have a **14-day right of withdrawal** under EU consumer law, which is included inside the broader 30-day refund window above.
